It’s a small church placed at the beginning of the village coming from Viverone, dedicated to the Blessed Dominican nun Emilia Bichieri of Vercelli (1238 – 1314) built by the same family Bichieri who in 1225 bought the Castle, completely in ruins, rebuilding it in the current medieval form. The church was part of the monastic house Santa Margherita where today stands the villa Rampone (XIV century) that overlooks the square. The family Bichieri was an ancient and powerful family of Vercelli, and gave back splendor to the town of Roppolo, both with the restoration of the Castle, which became one of the residences safer and sought for its efficiency, and with other works to serve the people as the monk’s house which served as a hospital during the plague.
